Terms and Conditions

All products are handmade and sold as is. At Tansu Knives we strive to make them perfect, but they are sold with the understanding that this is a handmade product. Some unevenness in materials and finishes may occur. These unique qualities will not affect the usability or performance of the knife and will not be considered as defects.

Refunds / Returns

Your purchase is refundable for non customised knives within 3 days after delivery, if following criteria are met:

Knives have to be brand new and in an unaltered condition. Using the knife for a test cut or sharpening the knife will deem the knife used and will therefore be ineligible for refund.

Buyer must notify Tansu Knives intent to return the products within 3 days of delivery along with the reason for return.

Knives must be shipped within 3 days of notification of intention of return.

Knives must be returned in the same shipping containers provided with adequate packaging making the knife immobile within the box along with the tip protector.

Knives must be insured with the shipping carrier for the invoice value and the method of shipping must have signature confirmation.

Return shipping costs including insurance and signature are the responsibility of the purchaser.

All approved returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee.

Custom knives, sayas and other accessories are not refundable.

If you were to buy a product only to visually inspect, the same refund/return rules and criteria apply.

If you are returning a product Tansu Knives, we will not process an additional order until the products being returned are received in perfect condition and the return process is complete.

Placing an order confirms your acceptance of the return policy as stated above.


Tansu Knives will only exchange ready made knives if you follow the return policy



All payments are due before the knife is shipped, for custom knives payment I full is due before the handle is installed.  If you fail to pay or the method of payment is declined the purchaser forfeits the rights and ownership of the items purchased . Tansu Knives reserves the rights to require a non refundable deposit for all custom orders, and will determine the percentage amount depending on the build. The amount of the custom knives are required to be paid I full before the knife is completed, if you fail to pay within 7 days of notification the buyer will forfeit the rights and ownership of the knife including any deposits made.

Shipping charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Tansu Knives will use Australian post and DHL for package carriers and has rights to change these providers at any time without giving notice. Tansu Knives will require appropriate insurance on all packages amounting  the total invoice value.

If an insured package is lost during transit Tansu Knives will refund the whole amount of the cost of the knife. If a knife is damaged during transit please contact Tansu Knives immediately with pictures showing the damage. Tansu Knives does not take responsibility for uninsured packages.

All international customs charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.


Tansu Knives is not responsible for and will not be held liable for any harm, damages,  injuries or other safety issues that may result from using Tansu Knives products. We make sharp kitchen knives – please use them with care.


All the information and content on this site and derivative works including but not limited to descriptions, photos, videos, audio articles, text and designs are owned by Tansu Knives and are prohibited for use in any commercial purposes.

Tansu Knives holds the rights to change and update our terms of use and other policies.

We reserve the right to refuse service if you violate our policies.
